Here is how this works in practice. Storyboarding in Hungary draws on one of Central Europe's deepest animation and illustration lineages, anchored by Pannonia Film Studio Budapest. The house behind Marcell Jankovics's Son of the White Mare (1981). Here is the short of it. We assemble teams from SZFE (Színház- és Filmművészeti Egyetem — University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest, since 1865) animation and directing departments, MOME (Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design) illustration graduates. Plus the freelance bench that supplied storyboard and concept work to Dune Part Two, Blade Runner 2049, Hellboy 2019, The Witcher Netflix Season 3, Black Widow and Atomic Blonde. The runaway-production slate that has made Budapest one of the busiest global productions hubs in Europe.

Here is the breakdown. Our boards run bilingual EN/HU as standard. This matters when a London or Los Angeles director needs the same panel to brief a Hungarian gaffer, a German DP and a UK 1st AD on the same shoot day. We work in Toon Boom Harmony (the industry standard at Pannonia and across Hungarian commercial animation), Storyboard Pro and Photoshop for classic 2D boards. Plus we set up with Korda's and Origo's in-house previs suites for sequences needing 3D layout, virtual production blocking, or LED-volume planning.

Bence Fliegauf and Kornél Mundruczó's stylized auteur work, alongside László Nemes's long-take Son of Saul and Sunset visual language shot by Mátyás Erdély HSC, supplies the reference vocabulary our artists use when productions want European art-house pacing rather than Hollywood coverage.
