Here is how this works in practice. The 3rd assistant directors we work with in Hungary have come up through the AD pipeline that SZFE Budapest, MOME and ELTE Budapest Film Studies have shaped over the past two decades. Plus most having started inside the MTVA, RTL Klub, TV2 and ATV high-volume episodic and telenovela-equivalent AD pool before crossing into the global features and streaming series that Mythberg Films, Laokoon Filmgroup, Proton Cinema, Inforg-M&M Film and KMH Film build out of Origo Studios, Korda Studios, Stern Filmstúdió and Mafilm Fót.

Here is the short of it. They handle set-PA, crowd-control and lock-up duties in bilingual EN/HU. And EN/DE for German co-productions. Running motorcycle-courier and bicycle-courier loops through Budapest's Buda Castle UNESCO pedestrian zones, Andrássy Avenue UNESCO restrictions, Heroes' Square and the Danube embankment film-zones where vehicle traffic is heavily restricted. Their working knowledge of Magyar Színészek Szakszervezete (Hungarian Actors' Union) background-performer rates, HSC shift conventions and Hungarian Labour Code 12-hour rest rules means the daily background flow they manage is compliant from check-in through wrap and voucher processing.

Here is the breakdown. On the ground, our 3rd ADs in Hungary run extras check-in and holding through Top Talent Hungary, Casting Hungary, Adam Stein Casting and KEK Studios background pipelines, set up wardrobe and makeup flows for period crowd scenes along Andrássy Avenue and Heroes' Square, lock up pedestrian streets across Buda Castle and the Pest film corridors. Plus support the 1st and 2nd AD with cast escort, traffic control and radio-net communications across Origo Studios, Korda Studios, Stern Filmstúdió and Mafilm Fót.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. They have credits routing background through Hungarian features and streaming blocks including Pieces of a Woman, Sunset, Son of Saul, Witcher Netflix S3 and the Marvel-Hungary work. Plus they manage the regional crowd shoots that productions stage around Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs, Eger, Tokaj, Lake Balaton (Tihany, Siófok, Balatonfüred) and the Hortobágy puszta. We match 3rd ADs based on language profile (English-only, bilingual EN/HU, EN/DE), crowd-scene scale, lock-up zone experience and prior AD-pipeline credits across Budapest and regional Hungary.
