Here is how this works in practice. The Budapest stack alone covers Buda Castle UNESCO. Plus the Royal Palace ridge, Andrássy Avenue UNESCO and Heroes' Square, the Pest embankment with the Hungarian Parliament Building, Margaret Island and the Danube bridges, the Hungarian State Opera and Müpa Budapest, the Dohány Street Synagogue, the New York Café Belle Époque interior, Continental Europe's oldest metro line (the M1 Millennium Underground from 1896), and the thermal-bath complexes at Széchenyi, Gellért, Rudas and Király.

Here is the short of it. Studio backlot scouting plugs into Korda Studios Etyek (with Europe's largest purpose-built sound stage at 3,700 m²), Origo Studios Budapest, Stern Studios and Pannonia Film Studio. Outside Budapest the regional inventory covers Lake Balaton and Tihany UNESCO, Tokaj UNESCO wine country, Hortobágy National Park UNESCO with its puszta horizons, the historic centre of Pécs UNESCO, Eger castle and its Baroque core, Esztergom Basilica on the Danube Bend, the painted village of Hollókő UNESCO, the Aggtelek Karst UNESCO cave system, the Bükk National Park forests. Plus the Western Transdanubian heritage cores of Sopron, Győr and Visegrád Royal Palace.

Here is the breakdown. Permits and pre-clearance are handled in parallel with the scouting itself, so what lands on the production manager's desk is a shortlist already vetted against access reality. Budapest options route through the Budapest Film Commission with district-state pre-clearance. Regional shoots route through the Veszprém, Pécs, Eger, Debrecen and Szeged film commissions. National-park sites are pre-cleared with Hungarian Nature Conservancy (Magyar Tájvédelem) rangers at Hortobágy, Aggtelek, Bükk and Balaton-felvidéki. Plus seasonal windows flagged for crane migration on the puszta, autumn vineyard work at Tokaj, and the winter cave-temperature lockdowns at Aggtelek.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. Heritage scouts keep direct lines to the Magyar Államkincstár heritage office for Buda Castle UNESCO, Andrássy UNESCO, Parliament, Dohány Synagogue and the Esztergom Basilica, with KTI drone authorisations pre-filed under EU U-space rules. Each shortlist entry is delivered with rebates-eligibility notes against the NFI 30% qualifying-spend framework so the line producer can model the rebates before location-manager work starts.
